1. Overview

The data binding of GIS maps is the same as the built-in maps. The difference is the introduction of map layers, support for zooming, and the ability for you to analyze data by combining multiple map elements.

2. Function

2.1 Create gis map

Drag in a GIS map, bind the map column "Province" to the graph area, and set the rendering mode to "Area Map", as shown below.

Like the built-in map, it supports multi-layer map, you can set hidden layers and disable checking, please refer toBuilt-in Map > Multi-Layer Map for detailed operation steps. The effect of multi-layer map is as below:

2.2 Bind map data

There are two main ways to locate in GIS map, by latitude and longitude, and by graphs. Please refer to Built-in Mapfor details.

In addition to the map column, you can construct spatial objects for labeling using the position, makeline, and buffer functions through the calculation column. For details, please refer to Calculation Columns and Calculation Function - Basic Function - Basic Calculation Function - Geospatial Function.

2.3 GIS map setting

On the right side Setting > GIS Map Setting you can set the map options as below:

[Map Type] By default, it supports Baidu map, Google map, Gaode map, Tencent map, ArcGis, Here map, and customized GIS background. If you need to change the map types supported by the product can be configured through the chart.gis.category property, for details, please refer to Make Dashboard Configuration > Map.

Before using the maps, you need to configure the map key related parameters in the bi.properties file, in which you need to apply for the key of each map on the website of the respective developer platform, for details, please refer to Make Dashboard Configuration > Map.

➢Note:

•Baidu, Gaode, Google, Tencent, and Here map need to apply for the key from their respective developer platforms, and Arcgis does not need to match the server's key.

•The map type of 3D city supports the mapbox and customization that comes with the system, and does not support GIS map style selection.

[Map style] The system provides two types of maps, satellite maps and ordinary maps.

[Map Theme] Light theme, dark theme and default theme are available. If satellite map is selected for map style, setting theme style is not supported. If the map type is Gaode Map or Baidu, and the map style is normal style, it supports Standard, Faraway Mountain Dye, Ashes Gray, Phantom Black, Graffiti, Macaron, Indigo Violet, Aurora Blue, and Sauce Seed.

[GIS Background Layer] You need to select the map type as Custom GIS Background before you can display the GIS background layer. Select the added background layer or customized in the drop-down list, the default value is the first background layer in the list, please refer to GIS Background Layer for details.

[Zoom Level] Default is automatic, according to the matching geographic data display, you can choose the world, country, province, city, street, etc., you can choose your own according to the analysis needs.

[Map Center] Select a location as the center of the map, you can choose automatic, Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, custom, etc. If you choose custom, you need to enter the latitude and longitude coordinates.

[Map Layer] Water system, railroad, highway and road elements are provided. If you choose Gaode Map, Tencent Map, Arcgis, Sky Map, the selection of map layer is not supported.

2.4 Map interaction

•Map Drill

GIS maps also support drilling, after binding the data with hierarchical relationship, the right-click menu can choose to drill up or drill down, the specific operation steps can refer to Built-in Map > Map Drill.

•Zoom In/Out

You can zoom in and out of the map hierarchy by scrolling the mouse wheel.

You can also zoom in and out by clicking on the buttons at the bottom right corner,

•Locate to Map Center

After zooming in or out, click

button to quickly locate the map center.

•Drag Map

When you are previewing and viewing the dashboard, the button at the bottom right corner is

in Drag and Drop status, you can click the left mouse button on the map, hold it down and drag the map up, down, left, right, left, and right.

•Box Data

When previewing and viewing dashboards, the bottom right button supports round box checking or rectangular box checking.

You can click the left mouse button on the map, drag and draw rectangle/circle, you can batch box data, real-time display range also supports adjusting the range, you can link with the same source components.

Mouse hover button, you can switch the operation state, as the following picture:

2.6 GIS background layer

➢Note:

Custom GIS background layer is not supported by normal members on Desktop, but supported by super members.

The custom background layer type supports WMS and Mapbox, the specific setting notes are as follows.

Add Layer: When you click

Add icon, the Edit Name dialog box pops up and user can set the layer name. After setting the layer name, renaming the layer is not supported.

Delete Layer: When you click

Delete icon, a dialog box will pop up to confirm that there is no error, then click "Yes".

Type

Support "WMS, Mapbox", default is WMS.

URL

Both WMS and Mapbox support inputting configuration URL, required.

•WMS: Use ArcGis, GeoServer or other map tools to publish WMS, fill in the generated URL here, or you can get other available URLs on the Internet.

•Mapbox: Use Mapbox map tool to generate custom layers, fill in the generated URL of the third-party shared layer here, or you can get other available URLs on the web.

Layer

Fill in the layer name in the input box, multiple layers are separated by ",". (for WMS)

Click to generate preview

Click to generate preview, the preview box will be loaded to show the layer effect, support drag and drop, zoom.

➢Example 1

Replace Baidu map GIS background with a customized GIS background, type WMS.

1)Select the GIS map, and choose "Custom Gis Background" in the drop-down options of Setting > GIS Map Setting > Map Type on the right side of the editing column.

2)The GIS background layer settings are as follows.

a)Select "Custom" in the drop-down list of GIS background layer, click the Add icon on the right side of the Customize dialog box, and name the layer as "wms_world". Select "Customize" in the "Customize dialog box".

b)In the "Customize dialog box", click the add icon on the right side, and name the layer as "wms_world". On the right side, select "WMS" for the type, and fill in the URL you have obtained, such as "http://192.168.0.89:2222/geoserver/ttest/wms".

c)The layer will be "test:world".

d)Click "Generate Preview" to see the preview effect.

e)Click "OK" to close the customization dialog.

3)The effect of applying the "wms_world" layer to the GIS map is as follows.

➢Example 2

Replace the GIS background of Gaode Maps with a customized GIS background of type Mapbox.

1)Select the GIS map, and choose "Custom Gis Background" from the drop-down options of Setting > GIS Map Setting > Map Type in the right edit bar.

2)The GIS background layer settings are as follows.

a)Select "Custom" in the drop-down list of GIS background layer, click the Add icon on the right side of the Customize dialog box, and name the layer as "a".

b)Select "Mapbox" for the type on the right, and fill in the URL you have obtained, such as "https://api.mapbox.com/styles/v1/try327/clvf3j690014p01oc4wnr0ers/draft/tiles/256/{z}/{x}/{y}?access_token=pk.eyJ1IjoidHJ5MzI3IiwiYSI6ImNsdW03ajJwYjBud28yaW9hcm0xa3RqN2QifQ.W5l9PKuvSpTbekVooNax4g".

c)Click "Generate Preview" to see the preview effect.

d)Click "OK" to close the customization dialog box.

3)The effect of applying the "a" layer to the GIS map is as follows.
